Two Walks

Bodies envelop everything that is alive, serving as vessels for the soul. Sometimes, on the surface, you can witness an entire life, akin to the bark of a tree or the erosion of a landscape etched onto our skin, or a crease on a hand. Yet, one needn’t focus solely on the visible; traces of time also linger in subtle details. Perhaps what we seek is less overt and more elusive. It's wiser to pause, observe, explore, and take time so as not to let subtle signs slip away. These pivotal moments, if lingered upon, reveal themselves; yet if hurried past, they are lost forever. Like a meticulous clock, pretending to patiently observe the mechanism of time's passage, through varied prisms and landscapes. Like a poet, capturing the imagery that unfolds between the lens and my observations. We may discover parallels or divergences between two journeys that prompt debate, born from comparing two realities, visually close yet worlds apart in their context.

A la Fiona,

Una de les raons de la fotografia és la de demanar-se.
Som a la terrassa de dalt de la Miró, hem d’esquivar les bastides, les proves de rajoles. Li dic a la fotògrafa que m’indiqui com vol que accentui la positura.
Em respon: “primer he de trobar-te”.
Observo que mentre amb una mà aguanta la màquina, amb l’altra sosté un metacrilat de color que deu fer, oh misteri, de captador d’altres plans. Potser portarà fins a mi el buit de la ciutat i el sabrà traslladar fins a la meva anima. Que som idéntics!
Oriento el full. No crec que enganxi amb l’ull l’escriptura i la faci llegible. No m’agradaria que desvetllés el que escric mentre ella retrata.
Ara he sentit el teu fons: la natura. Tu tries la bellesa que espiga, jo pertanyo al buit.
Amb el vent volegen els fulls, s’aixequen per les puntes contra els angles de l’arquitectura del buit I de la llum. Com si se m’escapés l’ànima, la fotografia no-sé-perqu’e sempre em porta a la mort, al testimony del pas del temps. Volejo incinerat. Si això captessis, hauries construït alguna cosa d’immemorial.
Crec, també, que seria molt important que la teva fotografía estigués a favor de les nostres dues ànimes juntes: la natura de la fotografia ordenada I la ciutat de l’escriptura desordenada, com així.
Acabaré aixecant la ploma, sense que toqui el full, a fi que la fotografia s’enlairi I no estigui contruïda damunt de res. Com el tot.
